Magdalena Hoeller is a passionate linguist who researches how and why communication succeeds or breaks down across cultures and language backgrounds. She is dedicated to fostering meaningful connections through diversity in academic, social and personal settings. Hoeller speaks six languages and works in academia at a university in Australia, supporting international students. Her focus lies in bridging language gaps, fostering connection and belonging, and empowering students to become confident communicators in a foreign country. Her team’s work earned her a nomination as a finalist for the 2024 NSW Education Provider of the Year, and she speaks regularly at educational conferences across Australia.
