Theme: SYNELIXIS

Synelixis [ΣΥΝΕΛΙΞΗ], in its mathematical sense, describes the transformation that one function causes to another as the first passes through the second — as well as the result that emerges from their combination.

In our lives, in our daily routines, a function can be seen as any idea, any game, any interaction — a momentary (or not so momentary) exchange.

A dialogue between the old and the new, the familiar and the unknown, the fleeting and the everlasting — not merely a union of the two, but the birth of something new and unique.

Just like stars connect in the sky to form constellations — though far apart — we too "connect" all these different elements around us to create a new version of ourselves.

Just like pixels on a screen are broken down into different levels to form images, so too do our moments and memories shape a multidimensional and unique reality.

At TEDxNTUA 2025, we will explore how every small or large synelixis — every interaction — radically transforms us and creates a new world, a new reality.

Antonia Vogt

Founder and President of CuR

Antonia Vogt is a pioneering scientist who has been featured at the top of the Forbes 30 Under 30 list. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Surgery at the University of Cambridge, focusing on regenerative medicine and stem cell research. As an Onassis Foundation scholar, she leads groundbreaking research on stem cell regeneration through bioinformatics. She is the founder and president of both the Cambridge Robotic Surgery Society and the Cambridge Neurological Society. Antonia has received numerous prestigious awards, including the Hypatia Award, distinctions from EMBO, ISMND, the Cambridge Stem Cell Institute, as well as multiple research awards from the University of Cambridge. As a single mother since the age of 17, she is a passionate advocate for inclusion and support of student-parents.

Aristides G. Eliopoulos

Biology & Genetics Professor at NKUA, Co-founder & CSO of GENOSOPHY S.A.

Aristides G. Eliopoulos, Professor of Biology and Genetics at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (EKPA) and co-founder of the spin-off company GENOSOPHY®. His work bridges molecular genetics, bioinformatics, and precision medicine, with international accolades, five patents, extensive educational contributions, and active participation in iconic research initiatives. In his talk, he explores how the convergence of genetics and technology is reshaping what it means to "know thyself" in the modern age.

Eva Kotta

Product Manager, Activist, Creator of The Abstract Girl

Eva Kotta grew up in Amyntaio, Florina, and studied Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In recent years, she has been living and working in Athens. Since 2020, she has been engaging in activism on social media through her account @the.abstract.girl, where she shares thoughts and perspectives on society and gender equality.

George Gougoulakis

Architect

George Gougoulakis graduated first in his class from the School of Architecture at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in 2008. He completed his postgraduate studies at Politecnico di Milano, earning a Master in Transportation & Automobile Design, and carried out his internship at Maserati. He has worked at the design studio Torino Design and served as a teaching assistant at Politecnico di Milano. Since 2015, he has been working as an architectural engineer, and in 2021 he founded his own architectural firm, Gougoulakis Architects & Associates (G Architects).

Gogo Delogianni

Gogo Delogianni, a chef and passionate lover of Mediterranean and Italian cuisine, comes to the TEDxNTUA 2025 stage to speak about cooking as a cultural experience — about food that warms the soul and brings people together. From the kitchens of Fuga and Costa Navarino, to pop-up projects and TV studios, Gogo continues to create meals infused with stories, emotions, and memories.

Ioannis Pantazopoulos

"LiFO" Chief Editor - Podcast Creator

Ioannis Pantazopoulos studied at the Department of Political Science and History at Panteion University. He has many years of professional experience in the field of media and, since 2014, has been a core member of the editorial team at LiFO, where he currently holds the position of Editor-in-Chief. He has curated special print editions of LiFO and has conducted interviews with prominent figures from the political, economic, and academic spheres. Finally, he hosts the podcast series “Listen to Science”, which features distinguished personalities from the world of science.

Kimon Vogt

President of CNS & CEO & Co-Founder of Sporo Health

Kimon Vogt is the CEO and co-founder of Sporo Health. He holds a Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science from the John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Harvard University. Kimon has taught Deep Learning (AC209) and Computational Systems Science (AC207) at Harvard and was also a research fellow at Carnegie Mellon University, where he developed and patented AI algorithms in the healthcare sector. During his internship at Fidelity Investments and his collaboration with Microsoft, he led projects focused on the development of artificial intelligence algorithms.

Rosario Moscato, an expert in AI and data science with over 25 years of international experience, blends innovation with ethics. With academic background in engineering, software design, and the relationship between science and faith, he explores the impact of technology on humanity. As an author, speaker, and CTO, he inspires transformative ideas about the future of artificial intelligence.

Vangelis Simakis

Co-Founder of BACKPACK BROTHERS / A.T.A.X.T.O.I.

Vangelis Simakis was born in Heraklion, Crete, and studied Economics at the University of Rethymno. He also holds a Master’s degree in Education, with a focus on Critical Pedagogy and Teacher Education from the same institution. Over the past four years, he and his brother Sarantis Simakis co-founded the Backpack Brothers, an initiative dedicated to improving living conditions in countries across Africa, Latin America, and Asia.

Xenia Mastoraki

Landscape Architect & Founder of LandmArch

Xenia Mastoraki is an Architect and Landscape Architect who promotes simplicity and spatial adaptability through innovative, bottom-up systems. Her work focuses on independent research and the dissemination of knowledge surrounding the modern design of sustainable public spaces. Through her studies, she develops practices that empower communities, shaping cities that are not only adaptable but also capable of evolving through challenges.

Zografos V

Artist, Songwriter

Zografos, artist and songwriter, will take the stage at TEDxNTUA 2025 to offer his unique perspective. Through personal experiences, he will analyze how music carries its history and possesses the power to convey and create, not only images but entire experiences. Active since the late 90s, Zografos began his solo music career in 2013 with the album "Δεν φοβήθηκα να ζήσω" ("I Didn't Fear Living"), and in December 2022, he released "Πυρίτιδα και δυόσμος" ("Gunpowder and Mint") with Wise Dopes. His career includes numerous collaborations with artists both inside and outside of the hip-hop genre. What sets him apart is his distinctive lyrics, combined with equally unique productions that bridge tradition and the present.
