In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

With the release of the first Generative AI tools, he launched a YouTube channel to teach artists how to harness AI for cinematic production—leading him to become Creative Director at Storybook Studios, Europe’s premier AI production house. Chair and Co-Director of the Munich Center for Mathematical Philosophy. As a professor of philosophy at LMU Munich, Christian’s groundbreaking work explores decision theory, free will, and collective rationality.

Julijana Gjorgjieva

Professor Julijana Gjorgjieva is a Professor of Computational Neuroscience at the Technical University of Munich. She is particularly interested in how the brain's circuits are tuned to maintain a balance between constant change as we learn new things and robustness to produce reliable behaviour.

Lana Tannir

A Germany-based National Geographic Explorer, biologist, science storyteller, and extremely talented photographer, uses her work to shed light on today’s most critical environmental issues and shows the beauty of Earth’s last untouched places. With over 100 international projects under her belt, she regularly works with NGOs, sustainable brands, and eco-friendly travel agencies. When she is not trying to strike the world with her ideas like lightning, she takes pictures of it. Her photography has been featured in exhibitions across the UK and Germany.

Manel De Aguas

Manel began his journey in 2016, inspired by the pioneering work of Neil Harbisson and Moon Ribas. Transitioning from a background in photography, he focused on creating new cybernetic senses. His most significant project, the Weather Fins, implanted in 2020, allows him to perceive weather changes through bone-conducted sound. Calm and endlessly curious, he is currently working on the next evolution of his Weather Fins, dedicated to expanding the frontiers of human perception and technology.

Ousmane Diaw

From the vibrant streets of Dakar to the fashion capitals of Europe, Ousmane’s journey is all about perseverance and innovation. Growing up in a family of tailors, Ousmane learned to sew at 11 and began blending African fabrics with European cuts. Now, as the visionary behind Roubs Style, his designs light up runways in Milan, Berlin, and beyond.

Petra Schwille

Biophysicist and Director of Cellular and Molecular Biophysics at the Max Planck Institute. From decoding life’s mysteries at the molecular level to pioneering new methods in biophysics, Petra’s career is a journey of relentless curiosity. Starting with a love for physics, she ventured into biological systems, inventing techniques to measure molecular interactions in real-time. Now as a Max Planck Director, Petra's mission is to build simpler versions of life to better understand its complexity.
