In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Tanmay Mukharjeee

Tanmay Mukharjee is a sustainability-focused innovator and mentor with a rich background in composite materials, process automation, and social entrepreneurship. After leading a successful INR 1 Billion turnover family business in the automotive sector, he shifted his focus toward building sustainable ecosystems and empowering grassroots communities. He volunteered with Mr. Sonam Wangchuk at HIAL, Ladakh, managing operations and spearheading enterprise initiatives that transformed innovations into viable businesses. Tanmay later served as Director – New Solutions at Udhyam Learning Foundation, working closely with women-led nano enterprises in rural India to boost their growth and income. Today, he supports organizations—especially social enterprises—in finding efficient, sustainable, and impactful solutions. Passionate about nurturing innovation and solving complex challenges, Tanmay also mentors startups and contributes to the Startup India initiative. Driven by a simple yet powerful mission: creating a better world, one small step at a time.
