The TEDxJOU online lecture "The Power of Breaking Labels - How You Can Break the Label of Non-First-Class Universities" focuses on educational equity and the reconstruction of individual values. We reject empty inspirational narratives and analyze the systemic biases behind the "double non-first-class" label from a sociological perspective. Through empirical research data and cross-disciplinary cases, we deconstruct the Matthew Effect in the distribution of educational resources.
The event brings together pioneers who have broken through the constraints of their backgrounds. Their experiences not only demonstrate individual methods of breaking through barriers, but also reveal the unique competitive advantages of talents from non-traditional paths: from self-discovery by graduates from non-first-tier universities, to the reverse harvest of teams from ordinary universities in international academic conferences.
